There are several places around the world that you can go diving, and each has its own unique specialities. However none quite match up to that of the Maldives for some truly remarkable reasons. The Maldives is situated to the South East of India, and contains over 1000 islands and islets. Many of these islands is home to a single resort, each of which are very different. Some of these resorts are even built over the calm sea waters of the Maldives Ocean.
However there are some truly amazing facts about the Maldives and what there is to offer. First and foremost this diving location is completely unique to any other throughout the world, mainly due to the wild life that regularly visits this island. The Maldives receives Whale Sharks right the way through the year; this is where the whale shark can be found most commonly. This animal is extremely rare so many people travel out this far just to dive with thee wonderful sea giants.
Even though these animals are here, and there is such a wide range of coral and marine life, there is an inordinate amount of diving locations and choices. There is any form of diving available here, anything ranging from free diving, right the way through to wreck and wall diving.
The next important point of discussion for this diving location is the hotels. These are some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Probably one of the most famous if the Lily Beach resort in “Huvahendhoo”, this resort is a 5 star resort with regular tourists and is a favourite of celebrities as well. At this resort in particular you can indulge in spa treatments and yoga with specially trained personal trainers. Families and children are also welcome with play areas for the kids. The rooms are of unbelievable amazing quality, each villa has an across the sea view, with glorious queen size beds and massive sitting areas. The seas are a clear blue, and some villas even have an infinity pool.
What’s really amazing about this holiday is the price. Not only is it one of the most amazing places to visit, but the price is extraordinary too. A holiday to a resort like this for 1 week would cost a single person around one thousand five hundred pounds, nothing like five thousand pounds for some holidays in Egypt!
