Things You Shouldn’t Do When You Visit Egypt!

Normally I enjoy telling people what they should be trying when they go on holiday. This time I have felt that I can offer more insight into one specific location by giving people the details on what they shouldn’t be doing to save them time money and exhaustion!
Everybody tells you what you should be doing when you go on holiday to certain places. Well I want to change this a little bit and give you some ideas of what I wouldn’t recommend. Recently I went to Egypt, and I feel that you should really know what not to do if you are considering going here as well! Now I really enjoyed my holiday, but these things can be missed off your list of things to do!
1. What ever anyone says to you, no matter how convincing they are do not ride a camel when you get to the pyramids! If you get this chance turn it down immediately, it is unbelievably hot in this country, and these beasts can obviously feel the heat. They are grumpy, annoying and extremely difficult to get down from, especially when these lanky machines don’t kneel down. Also Falling off is no fun experience for anyone, especially when your in front of about 60 other tourists!
2. Keep your religious beliefs to yourself, do not spout out that you believe in nothing and how god cannot exist. What ever you do, just keep your mouth shut; these people will not take too kindly to your input!
3. If you’re a Smoker, don’t be a cheapo like you normally would on holiday and by special cigarette brands. I located a packet called Cleopatra Cigarettes, they were ridiculously disgusting, and I thought I was going to pass out after one puff. Do not purchase these lung rippers!
4. If you like to do touristy things, this is probably the best piece of advice that I will offer in this article (except for the camel thing of course). I seriously recommend seeing the Philae Temple, but what ever you do, do not travel up there for the sunrise. It takes ages, and by the time you have muddled your way up to the top, you will have nowhere to sit or stand. Make sure you went until later on in the day and admire the Sunset; people are stupid and head up early in the morning. The sunset is much better!
In conclusion you should always consider what is best to do before you do it, always make sure that you have all the facts before you try something you have never done before!
