There’s a Party Over Here!

There are few better places to enjoy a great summer holiday than along the coast of Majorca. Head over to http://www.cheapholidays.com today and find hundreds of great holiday days for 2010.

Places like Majorca are well known for their party atmosphere without the addition of summer concerts. While you tend to rotate summer holidays around various aspects to ensure that you really do have the time of your life, then why not consider the many live shows occurring on the exotic Balearic Island of Majorca this year. While popular band Placebo have cancelled a tour which makes a stop in Majorca, the likes of Natalie Imbruglia and Boyzone will be making an appearance.

While this news is all good and certainly exciting the reason these two acts are performing is a much more sombre note. The recent passing of former Boyzone member Stephen Gately is been commemorated by the two acts on the holiday island where he passed away exactly a year ago. Despite the bad news the aim is to celebrate the life of the former boyband member and fans are encouraged to come along and enjoy a fantastic live performance.

Few people need a reason to travel to the likes of Majorca, but this will most certainly help sway a few more people to the exotic Balearic Island.

Majorca tends to be a summer choice for most and that period stretches from May till September, though many escape the high prices by coming during early spring and late autumn. The Steven Gately concert is planned for the middle of October, a month which still enjoys great weather. Months which come under the ‘out of season’ heading in Majorca are still much hotter than summer in the UK and many other places in Europe. Boyzone or not, people are still going to flock to island during the autumn and winter period.

The tribute concert may only appear to be a one off currently, but I’m pretty sure diehard fans will be calling for an annual reprise. If Majorca could hire the services of the UK super group each October then I’m sure that everyone really could be a winner as a result. What better way to enjoy your favourite groups than to do so in a warm and exotic climate? You may even be convinced to put your holiday plans back by a couple of months in order to see the show, which as a result will save you a few quid too.

Concert or no concert, Majorca is the ideal summer island for anyone looking for a fun filled and memorable holiday.
