The Onus Is On Maspalomas
All I keep reading is how super awesome the Maspalomas sand dunes are, but it wasn't till after some much needed research that I actually figured out where it was.

The Onus Is On Maspalomas
http://www.cheapholidays.com/gran-canaria.html is a reliable online source that offers cheap and convenient Gran Canaria holidays.
I remember vaguely watching the film Dune, made in 1984, when I was quite young and it did very well at disturbing me. I can never quite remember what the film was about just that some guy has a tube or wire connected to his nipple that get’s disconnected which causes him severe blood loss. Whenever the word ‘dune’ is mentioned I can’t help but have a grimacing flashback before thinking of a vast amount of smooth sand. Thanks to this discovery of mine I am able to think of the Maspalomas dunes in Gran Canaria when the word is mentioned. These dunes lead you down to the shores of Gran Canaria which are a much more beautiful sight!
People have compared the dunes on the south coast of Gran Canaria to the Sahara Desert, except that isn’t as baron and unforgiving. I think I would much prefer to be stranded in Maspalomas than in the unbearable terrains of Africa.
Gran Canaria is seen as the more easy going and relaxing neighbour to the lively and troublesome household of Tenerife. Island life is something you will certainly find throughout Gran Canaria because the scenery is as exotic and tropical as any of the Canary Islands. Yearlong hot weather is another feather in the cap of Gran Canaria and it’s probably the strongest draw to tourists as many people prefer to take breaks when its winter in the UK. Gran Canaria is also one of those few places where you can actually go and relax rather than having to take apart in a million and one excursions. It’s just you, the beach and the beauty.
The Atlantic Ocean certainly sounds like a much more exotic setting than the Mediterranean Sea, though it’s in a struggle against the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea for most luring. Your view south from the island might even catch a glimpse of the coast of Africa on a clear day, but you are more likely to see the shores of the other Canary Islands.
When it comes to crunch time during the year and you’re forced to make a decision on where to spend your holiday money, there will be many options available. Many of the places that will come to your attention will have a fixed time when it’s best to visit, while Gran Canaria is ready and waiting all year long. Choice made? Mind made? Heart set? You’re more than welcome!
