If golf is your sport then you won’t need telling that the Algarve is very much an ideal destination for you. If golf isn’t your sport well then the Algarve is definitely the place for you. It doesn’t really matter what you’re into because the Algarve has a plethora of resorts that can pretty much cater for everybody’s needs and wants from a summer holiday destination. Whether you intend on enjoying the weather from the beach or one of the many golf courses spread along Portugal’s south coast, you will find plenty of time to enjoy the umpteen hours of pure sunshine a day.
With places like Faro and Albufeira to choose from the Algarve is your oyster, whether are looking for an action packed holiday with late nights or a relaxing break with the family, you will find it all on the south coast of Portugal.
Relaxing on the beach is a great idea and over time you certainly will pick up and excellent tan, but I was always told you get a better tan by doing something in the sun, whether that’s true or not I don’t know but it certainly makes getting a tan much more fun and easier. This is why we should all be taking a swing at the Algarve. By playing a few holes with a friend or the family whilst divulging each other in some light conversation sounds like a much better way to built up a bronze glow. There are plenty of sports facilities available in the Algarve including football pitches and tennis courts. The only problem I have with playing those sports in the Algarve is the heat would surely have me dehydrated and on a drip after half an hour of play, the advantage of golf is that it is very slow paced and the only sweat I’ll get is if I snap one of the hire clubs.
Compared to other holiday destinations within Europe the Algarve provides great facilities where are as some places in the Mediterranean are seriously dated. So instead of making your way around a mini golf course while a bunch of rowdy louts give you grief about going slow in a place that has certainly seen better days, trade it all in for a luscious green well kept golf course which puts you in a serene surrounding while you make your way around a the calm and relaxing surroundings.
