Restaurants in La Manga
Europe’s finest sports and leisure resort, nestled in the Murcian hills on Spain’s sunny Costa Calida coastline, is the ultimate luxury holiday on the “warm coast”.
Infamous for fantastic 5 star facilities and accommodation for all budgets the Club offers a wide range of self-catering accommodation. If your idea of a restful holiday is to enjoy eating out at restaurants of all types of cuisine then restaurants at the Club won’t disappoint.
With over 25 restaurants at the Club you are totally spoilt for choice and never to far away from some excellent cuisine. The 25 plus restaurants at La Manga are located all around the Club therefore many are within walking distance of the various developments of accommodation.
Some of the restaurants at the Club are managed and run by the 5 star Hotel, Principe Felipe, ensuring the highest quality of produce and service. The Hotel has its own restaurant, The Amapola Restaurant, which is probably the flag ship restaurant at the Club. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner the ambiance of the Amapola is fabulous with the choice of eating al fresco, on the terrace overlooking the South golf course, or inside the beautifully recently refurbished restaurant. The menu is typically Mediterranean with something for everyone’s taste buds.
A very popular place for lunch, snacks, ice-creams or a cocktail is the Sol y Sombra, “Sun and Shade” poolside restaurant at La Manga Club. Also situated in the grounds of the Hotel Principe Felipe, it’s ideal for a break from relaxing around the pool.
Other restaurants at La Manga managed by the Hotel are; Asia Restuarant, Luigis Restaurant, La Bodega, La Cala Restaurant, Uncle Sams Restaurant, Dharma’s and Mulligans. Asia is aptly named as you will find excellent Asian food here, the restaurant being situated in the Las Sabinas development. La Bodega, which is situated near the Children’s Club and tennis centre, has fantastic Spanish tapas with an enormous choice of wine to accompany your food.
La Cala is the main fish restaurant at the Club and is situated down on La Manga’s private beach. Courtesy transport is available. Uncle Sam’s caters for all those craving a great cheeseburger and fries whilst in the Spanish sun. Uncle Sam’s is located opposite the petrol station. Dharma’s offer great Indian cuisine and being situated in the wonderful setting of the rooftop restaurant of the La Manga Las Lomas development, there is no better place to enjoy an Indian feast with the most wonderful panoramic views. Finally Mulligan’s sports bar and pub restaurant at La Manga is the place to enjoy good pub food in a lively atmosphere.
With so many wonderful privately owned restaurants at La Manga offering a wide range of choice its difficult to name them all but a good selection is as follows; La Finca restaurant, an excellent central location with the Club. Mr Chan’s Chinese style restaurant, is located within the Las Lomas development.
Casa Victors family run restaurant at the Club has an extensive menu and also holds fantastic barbeques’ in the summer months. The Si bar at La Manga Club is very family / child friendly with a less complicated, fussy menu for all the family. The Sportman’s bar and restaurant hosts all the big sporting events so you can enjoy your favourite match with a pint and some good food.
